How Great is Your Love oh Lord...

Oh Lord my God,
You make love so real to me.
No matter how many times i feel hurt,
Your love is far greater than my pain.

You to me are like the rain,
that makes the grass sprout.
What more Oh Lord, could I ask for?
When your love surpasses all...

His Everlasting Covenant

I was reading the book of Ezekiel 16 this morning which talks about the Lord’s unfaithful bride, and as I did, I was reminded of the life I had back then. The story talked about Jerusalem likened to that of a woman’s birth. She was found in the street with her chord uncut and she was bathed in her own blood. Nobody even looked at her, nor pitied her. And when the Lord passed by her wallowing in her blood, He said “Live!” (Ezekiel 16 1:6)

It further described how the Lord God cleansed the woman and let her flourish and bloom until such time when she looked so lovely. Then God made a covenant with her and He adorned her with silver and gold and clothed her with fine linen and silk. Then she grew exceedingly beautiful. (Ezekiel 16:13) And when she did, that’s the time she forgot who took care of her.

I pondered and looked back on where I came from. God took noticed of a dirty, sick person like me and sent His Son Jesus Christ to save me from my filthy sins. He cleansed me with His own blood and redeemed me that I may become pure in His sight. I grew in loved with Him, but later on got messed up with the pleasures of the world and forgot about my first love.

What was so amazing and exceedingly wonderful is the faithfulness of God. His covenant that is everlasting. Though we stumble and fall, yet if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1John 1:9). His anger last only a moment, but his favor last for a lifetime (Psalm 30:5).

Praised be to the God who is ever so true! The God whose love never ends! Amen!

God Forgives You

1 John 1:9, John 21:19-20

There is just no one who has done anything so horrendous, so heinous, that God cannot forgive them. If God could forgive David, the man after God's own heart, for sleeping with Bathsheba, and then sending her husband out, knowing her husband would be killed--God can forgive you.
Jesus now is on the shores of the Sea of Galilee, and He says to Peter, after Peter has blown it badly, He says to Peter, "Follow Me." This is not the first time Jesus said, "Follow me" to Peter; this is the second time. Which shows me that God is the God of a second chance, and whatever you've done, God can give you hope through the resurrected Savior, that you can't get any other way.

Centre of my Life

by Hillsong

Let my walk speak loud
And my words be true
Let my life be whole
With my eyes on you
Lord I'm stepping out
From the comfort zone
Letting go of me,
Holding onto You

Freedom comes
When I call You Lord
You are Lord my God

You are the centre of it all,
The universe declares in awe
Your majesty
I surrender all
I make you
The centre of my life
Lord, I respond with all I am
you placed in me the song
Of heavens melody
Your Majesty
I live to sing Your song

I have found Your peace
It replaces any fear
You have done it all
I can trust in you
So I'm stepping out
From the comfort zone
Letting go of me
Holding onto you

This is your song not mine
It is your song that bring healing to this land
This is your song not mine
It is your song that brings feedom
Freedom comes, when I call you Lord
Freedom comes, when I call you Lord
You are Lord, my God
You are the song
You are the majesty
I live to sing your song
Your majesty
I live to sing Your song

That I will keep Your words, oh Lord...

Dear Lord,

Who is like You, my God, the One who sits enthroned on high.
Who stoops down to look on the heavens and the earth?
(Psalms 113:5-6)
Oh,Father, how i thank You that my help comes from You,
the maker of heaven and earth.
(Psalm 121:2)
Help me dear Jesus to keep Your words and hold Your teachings within me.
For You said "keep My words and live"
That I would keep Your teachings as I would my own eye.
That I will tie them upon my fingers and write them upon my heart then
I will say to wisdom "You are my sister." and call understanding my special friend.
(Prov.7:1-4)
Lord, let me not forget Your teachings and let my heart keep Your words
For Your teachings oh God will add to me many days and years of life and peace.
(Prov.3:1-2)
Father God, my heart is filled with many plans but it is Your plan that will stand (Prov.19:21) Teach me Lord to trust you with all my heart and lean not on my own understanding, that I will acknowledge You in all my ways and You will direct my path (Prov.3:5-6).
