“Set a guard over my mouth, Lord;
keep watch over the door of my lips.” - Psalm 141:3
Is it okay for a child of God to
speak bad words?
The answer is ‘NO’.
Remember that you are made in God’s own
image and likeness, hence you should bless others instead and not curse them.
However, people nowadays are too vulgar that even their own family is naturally
cursed by themselves first-hand.
As a child of God, you are chosen by
Him, you are made for a purpose.
You are then encouraged to speak
gracefully, as what Colossians 4:6 says, “Let your conversation be always full
of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone.”
Always think and allow the Spirit of
God to tell you what is the best expression and what is fit to tell. Allow the Holy Spirit to speak within your
heart for it is written in Matthew 12:34, “...For the mouth speaks what the
heart is full of.”
Thus, be careful and stop others who
easily speak unappealing words especially those words that hurt, insult, and
discourage other people.
Lift up others by encouraging them
with your words for it matters. It can (HIM);
Heal.
Inspire.
Motivate.
Then you will be near Him (God).
God bless.
